“The 2021 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Auslese is concentrated and fresh on the aromatic nose that is immediately present but also still reductive. Ripe stone fruit aromas intermingle with notes of crushed stones on a deep foundation of aromas from the soil and the fruit of old vines. On the palate, the 2021 is very fine but also intense, savory, saline and lush, leading to a long, intense and highly digestible finish with crunchy and cleansing slate features. Again, this is a fabulous Auslese from Prüm’s iconic Sonnenuhr. 7% stated alcohol.” 97 points, Stephan Reinhardt, The Wine Advocate
“The 2021er Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese proves hugely refreshing as intense scents of mint, green herbs, and smoke first come through. With more airing, it shows almond cream, tangerine, lead pencil, and flint stone. The wine shows a lot more presence and ripeness as rich and almost exotic flavors of tangerine, candied pineapple, honeyed peach, and a hint of apricot. The finish is very precise and long, and the after-taste is creamy and more delicate. It proves still very much work in progress and has easily upside potential with time. 2031-2051” 94+ points, Jean Fisch and David Rayer, Mosel Fine Wines
“A surprisingly open nose defines the 2021 Riesling Wehlener Sonnenuhr Auslese, revealing a herbal savor that is reminiscent of moss, chervil, and carrot top, but just a hint. The palate is a gorgeously concentrated stream of ripe citrus, combining the aromatic intensity and ripeness of Amalfi lemon, the brightness of lime and the sweetness of sugared orange flesh. So direct, so precise, sweet but utterly balanced. Clear as a bell.” 96 points, Anne Krebiehl MW, Vinous

Add to cart Producer: JJ PrumA tiny 0.41 ha strip of vines located at the bottom of Grand Cru Les Clos. More apparent wood is present on the otherwise similar nose. There is however more richness and volume to the slightly bigger-bodied and more concentrated flavors that also brim with sappy dry extract while exhibiting outstanding length on the powerful […]
Add to cart Producer: Christian MoreauThe latest rendition of Agrapart’s NV Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Terroirs is excellent. Based on the 2018 vintage, with fully 60% reserve wines from 2017 (some 40% of which mature in wood), it’s medium to full-bodied, seamless and chiseled, evocative of citrus oil, buttered toast, mint and fresh bread. It derives from […]
Add to cart Producer: AgrapartOne of the best LBV’s tasted in a long time. I often find them losing a little bit of freshness and bitter notes too apparent. Not a bit of it here, however! Oozing aromatics of blackcurrant, blackberry, mulberry, black cherry, prunes, dates, violets and mint. Luscious and full bodied, some clove and cinnamon, the spice […]
