From estate grown and purchased fruit, Jasper Hill’s Lo Stesso fiano is one of the country’s best. White flowers, pawpaw, creamy and spicey aromatics. Displays all the versatility of fiano, with a lovely pumice-like texture, juicy white and yellow peach, rhubarb, fig, quince and cardamon. Beautifully balanced, a harmonised seam of acidity freshens, brightens and energises. Very long in the mouth. If this was another white varietal like chardonnay, it would be double the price. A fantastic bargain. Norris at Waters Wine Co
A blend of 50% estate grown fruit and 50% purchased regional fruit, fermented in a combination of new French oak and stainless steel. Pale yellow colour. Subtle fruit aromas and a palate of pear, citrus and honey, finishing with waxy hazelnut and spice. Over time this luscious wine develops quince and baked apple flavours with enough natural acid to balance the viscous, textured mouthfeel. Ready to enjoy now. Screw-cap sealed, 13.5% alcohol.

“We Love Northern Rhone”, Skye Salter told me when tasting through their wines, and it shows, with notes of Charcuterie and coal dust. Otherwise it’s all McLaren Vale. Deep dark fruits, including blackcurrant, not often found in shiraz. Dark cherry, blackberry, violets, savoury spice, fresh compost, cured meats, pink peppercorn, soy, fennel and cardamon. Rich, […]

Sweet and tangy red and black fruits, the fruit high toned and elevated. medium bodied and lip smacking, the fruit tensioned by floral notes, serrano and fresh compost notes. As easy as it is to drink, this is still a wine of seriousness, with mineral velvet tannins of caress and […]

Excellent acidity, balance and flavour! Waters Wine Co Giant Steps Rosé is inspired by the wines of Provence, showcasing the perfume and beauty of early-picked Yarra Valley Pinot Noir and Syrah. Add to cart Producer: Giant StepsCoiled, cool and tense, a rockier road than the estate’s Chablis. Aromas of lemon, lime zest, gardenia, grapefruit and green apple. Full of tension, Riesling-like in breadth and crystal cut acidity. Very refreshing, linear in shape, with just enough fleshy fruit to blunt the sword. Very long, the carry goes on and on with a […]
