Les Pézerolles is a site just above Les Petits Épenots and Clos des Epeneaux and is, therefore, one of Pommard’s highest Premiers Crus. It regularly produces some of the village’s finest reds. It’s a site that gives finesse—in the context of Pommard—and is widely considered to generate a style that is as much Volnay as Pommard. Some big names work in Les Pézerolles, including De Montille and Lafarge. Dancer’s small parcel was planted in 1978.
“Dancer’s 2022 Pommard 1er Cru Les Pezerolles unfurls in the glass with aromas of red berries, plums, orange zest and spices, followed by a medium-bodied, satiny and perfumed palate that’s spicy and fine-boned, concluding with a saline finish.” 90-92 points, William Kelley, The Wine Advocate

A bright crimson red. After a few good few swirls, aromas of ripe raspberries, black cherries, wild herbs and some crushed violets soon emerge. The palate, though, doesn’t need much coaxing, and this silken, sappy wine has excellent depth and persistence. Will be even better six to 12 months from now. 96 points – Philip […]

Add to cart Producer: Hughes & HughesClassic Tasmanian pinot noir from a great year. Complex red summer fruits. Floral, roses and lavender, with sweet and savoury spice, compost, pine needles and smoke. Plenty of volume and shape, the fruit succulent and juicy – balanced by darker, savoury elements. So much textural flavour complexity, the wine a shape shifter in the glass. […]
Add to cart Producer: MeadowbankNatural cork. With both this cuvée and the wonderful Rugiens-Hauts, Leroux is back in Pommard with a bang. The 2019 is a blend of Les Vaumuriens (high on the slope) and Les Cras (on the lower slope), both vineyards lying on the Volnay side of the village. Leroux notes the cooler, hillside fruit from Les Vaumuriens brings freshness and balance to the blend. […]
