Fruit aromas are typical Moss Wood – ripe peach, combined with a zesty note similar to cumquat marmalade. These combine with lots of roast almonds and cashews, shortbread biscuits, malt and toasty oak for added complexity. The palate is lively, with fresh acidity giving lift to peaches, limes, grapefruit and caramel; there is full body and firm tannin underneath, so the wine displays good length and there is just a touch of malt and toasty oak on the finish. Winemaker’s Notes
Another glorious, age-worthy Chardonnay. All the Moss Wood hallmarks of fastidious viticulture, fermentation and lees ageing in French barriques.

From ten small parcels of 20-60 year old vines. Les Tremblot, (“more Puligny in character, as the soil is argileous,” says Jean-Louis); Les Meix, Les Levrons (more rounded wine for there are more stones and gravel here and it is not so heavy), Corvée des Vignes and Les Reuchaux. These small vineyard holdings are all […]

We continue…’ ‘This cuvee has been a blend of Perrières, Combes, Créots and […]
Add to cart Producer: Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey“Complete harmony, a certain amount of nuance, lifted finish thanks to acceptable acidity. Bottled July. Pale lemon colour, a little more flesh on the nose, pleasingly rounded, very stylish. Buy this without question. With time in the glass the Chablis minerality shows as well as the pleasing flesh.” 89 points, Jasper Morris MW, Inside Burgundy […]
Add to cart Producer: Bernard DefaixDiam. Not all Petit Chablis is created equal! Moreau’s Petit Chablis comes from a single 2.5-hectare site between Courgis and Beine, just outside Chablis on the route to Auxerre. It has a southwest orientation and lies on Kimmeridgian soils (as opposed to the higher Portlandian soils on which most Petit is grown). Half of the plot […]
