A tiny 0.23Ha plot. First slope of Beaune, next to Clos des Mouches. Top of the slope planted with Chardonnay. Vines aged 37 years. Vertical press so pressing is very slow. Aged on only fine lees. 10% new oak.
‘There is one barrel of the 2021 Beaune Clos des Aigrots 1er Cru Blanc this year whereas usually there are five. It has an attractive, well-defined bouquet with dried honey, grilled walnut and light fumé scents. The palate is well balanced with fine depth and more complexity than Lafarge’s Meursault with a judicious touch of spice on the finish. Worth seeking out. Drink 2023-2038. Tasted Jan 2023’ (89-91) points, Neal Martin, Vinous
‘Notes of pear, peach, white flowers and buttery pastry introduce the 2021 Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Aigrots Blanc, a medium-bodied, taut and racy wine, of which only one barrel was produced.’ 90-91 points, William Kelley, The Wine Advocate Feb 2023
‘One barrel only. Ripe fruit, a touch of bacon fat, then white stone fruit across the palate. Surprising depth behind with excellent acidity. Not quite a classical balance but there is a lot of wine here. Promising. Drink from 2025-2029. Tasted: October 2022.. 89-91 points, Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy

The 2018 Meursault Le Limozin wafts from the glass with notes of ripe pear, orange rind, hazelnuts and sourdough. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, elegantly textural and lively, with a broader attack than the more incisive Chevalières, concluding with a saline finish. 90-92 points, William Kelly, The Wine Advocate Outstanding. Top Value. A […]

Full bodied, with yellow fruits, grapefruit, orange blossom, lime and lemon zest. Flinty and funky; slight savoury note and a moreish chewiness. For those who never fell out of love with Chardonnay. Waters Wine Co Expressive nose of white grapefruit, white […]
Add to cart Producer: Te MataA tiny 0.41 ha strip of vines located at the bottom of Grand Cru Les Clos. More apparent wood is present on the otherwise similar nose. There is however more richness and volume to the slightly bigger-bodied and more concentrated flavors that also brim with sappy dry extract while exhibiting outstanding length on the powerful […]
Add to cart Producer: Christian MoreauStunning aromas of pear, yellow stone fruits, and baked apple. There is heaps of complexity with hints of flint, smokey oak and toasted almonds. The palate is refined and textured; stone fruit and citrus flavours dominate. It is so light and airy with a lovely thread of cool acidity to it.. Flavours last for a […]
