Floral aromas of lemongrass and orange blossom linger into warm stone fruit and ripe citrus notes. More svelte and juicy – and appealingly playful – than the Leistenberg this vintage, with a relaxed and balanced sweetness. Refreshing acidity and beautiful stony spice on the lingering, dry finish. 17+ points. Paula Sidore, Jancis Robinson 2023
The Klamm, a Grosse Lage site, is situated directly adjacent to the Hermannshöhle. Its name is a very old word to describe the landscape, alluding to an incision in the craggy cliffs above. These vineyards are among the steepest found anywhere in the region, with extremely stony soils heavily comprised of volcanic porphyry mixed with black-grey slate.
The 2020er Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Spätlese is slightly reduced at first but quickly reveals a beautifully refined and floral nose of aniseed herbs, tangerine, mint, smoke, herbs, and almond cream. The wine is nicely playful and light-weighted on the palate, yet it proves nicely complex and long. This is a delightful Spätlese in the making, […]

The R9, in theory, should teeter on that fulcrum between dry and off-dry, but that crystalline Tasmanian acidity tempers any sweetness and it appears dry. And totally […]
Add to cartFrom a great vintage, a very intense, powerful and structured rendition of Kabinett. An aromatic bouquet, with enormous presence. Fresh herbs, citrus, cherry, grapefruit, smoke and white peach. A nervy and fleshy palate that is full of tension, succulent and tingling. Enormous presence again, shocking almost with the most gorgeous volume of fruit to match […]
Add to cart Producer: Schlossgut Diel“The 2021er Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Spätlese has a beautifully complex and pure nose of lime tree, verbena, orange blossom, anise, smoke, cassis, jasmine, and white peach. The wine coats the palate with very pure and fresh fruits and leaves a vibrating and hugely long finish. This splendidly pure Spätlese has great energy! 2031-2051” 95 points, Jean […]
